Boca Raton Community High School Students Take Part in Photography Program

Students in the AP and AICE Photography program at Boca Raton Community High School are showing their photography at the Downtown Boca Raton Public Library through June 10. The school has students taking photography for college credit through the College Board here in the US, and through Cambridge University in England. Students learn the elements and principals of art; how to properly use cameras and photographic techniques; and to process their images using Photoshop. Currently the Boca Raton Community High School has five instructors who teach photography. The entire program is a 3 year course of study that also includes industry certification in Photoshop. The students compete in, and win, numerous photo contests. These students also serve the yearbook, school newspaper, and the school’s athletic program by providing photos for teams.
