Delray Beach City Leaders Continue to Expand Arts Scene

Request for Letter of Interest (RLOI) Issued for Future Development of the Delray Beach CRA-owned Warehouse Land 2016: Pineapple Grove Arts District, Arts Incubator Delray Beach, FL (January 20, 2016) – The New Year kicks off with a formal Request for a Letter of Interest (RLOI) as the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) considers opportunities for the future development of the CRA-owned Arts Warehouse property located at 313 NE 3rd Street in the Artist’s Alley section of the Pineapple Grove Arts District with for-profit and/or not-for-profit entities. The CRA purchased the property to fulfill the objectives of the City’s Cultural Plan “To create a place where artists of all kinds would engage in hands-on-learning, presentations, exhibitions, and discussions in a broad range of disciplines.” The unique synergy of the Pineapple Grove Arts District was the stimulus needed for the CRA to make the purchase. The development of the Arts Warehouse is intended for an Arts Incubator for the visual arts, including galleries, studio and educational space, film and TV production, and other arts related uses. Letters of Interest should indicate the proposed use(s), the overall program and operation of the use(s), and how the proposed development of the property will successfully leverage the CRA’s investments with the proposer’s financial resources. Among other required details, the Letter of Interest should demonstrate consistency with the goals of the CRA Plan and a connection to and compatibility with the adjacent businesses and residential properties. The CRA is also taking suggestions and comments from the community at large as part of the RLOI process. Depending on the level of interest and the public response, a Review Committee established by the CRA will follow as a next step stage in the development process. About Filing RLOI The RLOI package may be obtained from (800-711-1712) and on the CRA’s web site at, under the section titled “RFP/RFQ/RFB/RLOI.” Interested parties can also call 561-276-8640 to request a copy.
