Antique fire engines as well as modern day fire engines and apparatus featured. Fire department honor guard teams will march carrying flags and ornate fire axes. Fire department bagpipe band members from different fire department pipe and drum bands will march and play together. Uniformed marching firefighters, Dalmation dog owners, and professional fire clowns have been invited to delight the spectators. Civilians and parade sponsors will ride their decorated floats. Don’t miss the free Pre & Post Parade Party located on the front lawn of Old School Square from 11 am – 7 pm featuring food, beverages, and live entertainment by Break Blossom immediately following the parade.
Elliot James started the raw rock band Break Blossom last summer when singer Skyler Mondell had contacted James about doing a hybrid project together and collaborating. James and Mondel recruited Marc Ryan and Jesse Lee later that month and the foursome went straight into the studio and began writing a record together. Mondell was currently working at NASA at the time and gave up his day job as a rocket scientist to join the band full time. The newly released band came out on the scene releasing a music video immediately and following up with a second one. Break Blossom sold out it’s first show and continues to stir buzz in not only south Florida, but all around the world! 2012 St Pat’s Parade Features • Hollywood Fire Rescue assisting with their ladder truck to take part in the flag hanging detail.
